A method and a system for editing prints by using a computer network are provided to enable a user to send direct mails including a high quality image and various contents automatically without an expensive editing program or printer by exchanging editing information between a user terminal and a server. A server(40) includes a controller(41) controlling programs and a database(43) storing various kinds of information, and is connected to a printer(50) capable of printing a high quality image such as a photo. The controller stores the high quality image received from an operator terminal(20) to a high quality image database(432), transmits a virtual image corresponding to the high quality image to a user terminal(10) by a virtual image transmitting program(413), and receives virtual image selection and text from the user terminal by using a virtual image selection receiving program(414) and a text receiving program(415). The controller combines the text and the high quality image corresponding to the virtual image selection into printing information by an image-text combination program(416), and transmits the printing information to the printer by using a print transmission program(417).
