An apparatus and a method for processing an EPG(electronic program guide) based on RSS(really simple syndication) are provided to supply EPG information and internet service information related to each broadcasting program to each device in order to classify the information and to allow a user to watch the information conveniently. An apparatus for processing an EPG(electronic program guide) based on RSS(really simple syndication) comprises a broadcasting station server, and an RSS based EPG processing part(100). The broadcasting station server provides EPG information through an internet(110). The RSS based EPG processing part receives EPG information from the broadcasting station server, stores the EPG information in a data storage(104), checks the EPG information according to EPG information demands of a user, and provides the EPG information to devices(120) of the user. The RSS based EPG processing part includes a device profile DB(108), a device UI processor(106), and an RSS based main processor(102). The RSS based main processor searches the EPG information from the data storage, and provides the searched EPG information to the connected device by converting the EPG information into the user EPG information.
