<p>The invention relates to a process for preparing zinc orthophosphate tetrahydrate from the zinc ashes resulting as residue in copper metallurgy, by treating the same with concentrated sulphuric acid. The Cu2+ ions are removed from the resulting solution by the treatment with zinc powder. The zinc phosphate is precipitated from the filtered solution by admixing a solution of trisodic phosphate, in a concentration of 14%.</p> |
