A terminal case and a mobile terminal having the same are provided to lock a keypad automatically if a cover unit of a terminal case is closed, and unlock the keypad if the cover unit is open. A receiving unit(200) receives a terminal body(100). A cover unit(300) is connected with the receiving unit and closes and opens such that a display(120) and a keypad(110) are exposed. When the cover unit is closed, a keypad locking device locks the keypad, and when the cover unit is open, the keypad locking device unlocks the keypad. The keypad locking device includes a sensor unit, which includes a magnet and a magnetic force sensing unit, mounted at the terminal body and the cover unit to sense opening and closing of the cover unit and a locking controller for locking or unlocking the keypad according to a signal applied from the sensor unit. The magnet is mounted at one end of the cover unit. The magnetic force sensing unit is mounted at the terminal body, and when the cover unit is closed, the magnetic force sensing unit senses magnetic force of the magnet and applies a signal to the locking controller.
