BIOSIGNAL-DETECTING APPARATUS AND MRTHOD OF OPERATING THE APPARATUS

A biosignal detecting apparatus and a detecting method thereof are provided to verify detected heartbeat signal and respiration signal by comparing the PSD of the detected heartbeat and respiration signals with the PSD of previously measured heartbeat and respiration signals. A method for detecting a biosignal includes the steps of: measuring a predetermined biosignal from a user(311); performing BPF(Band Pass Filtering) of the biosignal with a first frequency band(312); calculating a PSD of the filtered signal through the BPF(313); and detecting a signal of a frequency band with the largest PSD as a user's heartbeat signal(314). The method of detecting the biosignal further includes the steps of: comparing the PSD of the heartbeat signal with a predetermined threshold(315); and supplying a predetermined alarm signal when the PSD of the heart signal is less than the threshold(317).
