An apparatus for cutting off fuel in a vehicle is provided to reduce fuel consumption in downturn-driving by applying electricity to a pressing switch if a driver does not step on an acceleration pedal such that an engine stopping lever is pulled to cut off fuel. An apparatus for cutting off fuel in a vehicle comprises a transmission-press switch(4), a clutch pedal-press switch(5), an acceleration pedal-press switch(6) and a solenoid(7). A nut hole is perforated in a shaft on which a transmission lever is attached. The transmission-press switch is inserted into the nut hole. A pressing plate is integrally formed with a rear side of a clutch pedal. A first fixing plate is fixed to a chassis at the rear side of the clutch pedal. The clutch pedal-press switch is inserted into a nut hole perforated in the first fixing plate. A pressing plate is integrally formed with a rear side of an acceleration pedal. A second fixing plate is fixed to the chassis at the rear side of the acceleration pedal. The acceleration pedal-press switch is inserted into a nut hole perforated in second fixing plate. The solenoid having a solenoid rod is attached to the third is attached to a third fixing plate integrally connected to a fuel pump. The solenoid rod is connected to an engine stopping lever through a pin. |
