PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for molding a combination type optical element which can cope with the shapes of various combination type optical elements having concave or convex surfaces by one apparatus. SOLUTION: In the apparatus 1 for molding the combination type optical element, the surface 2a of a mold 2 with a desired shape formed and the surface 3a of an aligned glass substrate 3 are arranged to face each other, and an energy curing resin 5 discharged between the surface 2a of the mold 2 and the surface 3a of the glass substrate 3 is pressed to transfer the desired shape to the energy curing resin 5. The apparatus comprises a mounting plate part (support member) 7 in which the mold 2 and the glass substrate 3 are arranged at different positions in relation to the gravity direction and a reversal mechanism (inversion mechanism) 17 which changes the facing direction between the mold 2 and the glass substrate 3 with respect to the gravity direction by rotating the mounting plate part 7.
