PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a focal point detector having a differential amplification circuit capable of preventing over power to a control apparatus without increasing the mounting area and cost and without reducing the band, and to provide a signal processing system having it. SOLUTION: An input terminal of output limiting voltage VMAX is disposed in the differential amplification circuit 103 for amplifying the output Va_out from a photoelectric conversion element array 101 with reference to a predetermined voltage from a reference voltage output section 102, and the output limiting voltage VMAX is supplied from an output limiting voltage source 104 to the input terminal. In this arrangement, when the differential amplification result in the differential amplification circuit 103 exceeds the output limiting voltage VMAX, its output is limited to VMAX.
