PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow guidance of a road (specific route) on which a specific store, the position of a shop (specific location), or a specific shopping street exists as a recommended route from the start point to the destination. SOLUTION: The navigation system 10 includes a specific location database 36 storing the location position of the specific store or a specific route database 37 storing the route passing through the specific shopping street. When a route search condition is transmitted from a terminal device 20 of a general user not registered in a route search server 30, a search mode selection means 32 selects a free route search mode. A route search means 39 searches for the optimum route by referring to a network database for route search, and refers to the specific location database 36 or the specific route database 37 to extract the specific location or the specific route existing in a prescribed range from the optimum route. When the specific location or the specific route exists, the route search means 39 delivers the recommended route including the specific location or the specific route to the terminal device 20.
