PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electroluminescent display device that can improve productivity and reduce manufacturing cost by making the device thin, preventing faults such as curving or breakage of a substrate during manufacture and shortening time required for manufacturing step. SOLUTION: The organic electroluminescent display device includes a substrate 110, a non-transparent layer 130 formed on the substrate 110, a semiconductor layer 140 formed on the non-transparent layer 130, a gate insulation film 150 formed on the semiconductor layer 140, a gate electrode 160 formed on the gate insulation film 150, an interlayer insulation film 170 formed on the gate electrode 160, a source/drain electrode 180 formed on the interlayer insulation film 170, an insulation film 190 formed on the source/drain electrode 180, and an organic electroluminescent element 200 formed on the insulation film 190.
