PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display panel (PDP) capable of causing no inclination by preventing an excessive development of a vertical barrier rib of the end part, causing no gap more than necessary between the front face plate and the rear face plate, and provide an image display high in display quality without crosstalk. SOLUTION: This is the PDP in which a discharge cell is formed by oppositely arranging the front face plate 20 having a display electrode pair and the rear face plate 30 having a data electrode 32 and a barrier rib 34 so that the display electrode pair and the data electrode 32 are intersected. The barrier rib 34 is equipped with a plurality of vertical barrier ribs 34b arranged in parallel with the data electrode 32, and a plurality of lateral barrier ribs 34a which is intersected with the vertical barrier ribs 34b at a cross-joining part 36 and form the barrier ribs 34 in a curb state. A vertical barrier 40 is installed separated by a prescribed distance outside from the outermost end vertical barrier rib 34c of both ends out of the vertical barrier ribs 34b.
