PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a dispersion in a spray characteristic and a flow rate characteristic, by substantially eliminating a clearance between a turning body and a valve seat, without making installation in high accuracy. SOLUTION: This fuel injection device has a valve device in its tip part. This valve device has a hollow cylindrical valve element 1, the valve seat 2 fixed inside the valve element 1 and having a nozzle port 2a, a needle valve 3 opening-closing the nozzle port 2a by contacting and separating one end with and from the valve seat 2 by moving in the axial direction on the axis in the valve element 1, and the turning body 4 having a through-hole for sliding the needle valve 3 and imparting turning motion to fuel flowing in the nozzle port 2a. A plate-like sealant 5 softer than these members, is arranged between the valve seat 2 and the turning body 4. When assembling the valve device, the turning body 4 is inserted inside the valve element 1, and next, the valve seat 2 is fixed via the sealant 5. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
