PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a working machine capable of protecting its working arm from overload and preventing reduction of its work efficiency. SOLUTION: When an on-off switch 37 is turned on and oil passages 41a, 42a are communicated with oil passages 41b, 42b by a solenoid selector valve 35, a control valve 38 connects the oil passage having higher pressure than pressure in the other oil passage among the oil passages 41b, 42b with an accumulator 39 through an oil passage 45 and connects the oil passage having lower pressure with an oil passage 46. Consequently, the pressure oil in any of oil chambers 14a, 14b having pressure being boosted in accordance with contact force of a gripping claw 19 with an object for working is absorbed, stored, and discharged by the accumulator 39 in accordance with the pressure. When the on-off switch 37 is turned off and the oil passages 41a, 42a are shut off from the oil passages 41b, 42b by the solenoid selector valve 35, behavior of a boom cylinder 14 is not affected by the control valve 38 and the accumulator 39.
