PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extend the service life of an injection lance, to reduce pretreatment cost, and to improve productivity by preventing the occurrence of crack and the exfoliation on a refractory for covering a core metal of the lance. SOLUTION: At least the molten metal-immersion portion of the injection lance, in which the refractory is provided on the outer periphery of the core metal provided with a plurality of anchors is configured so that the arrangement interval of the anchors on the outer periphery of the core metal is≥45°to≤180°in the peripheral direction of the core metal and≥3 cm to≤100 cm in the axial direction of the core metal, and a coefficient of linear expansion of the refractory is≥1.0×10<SP>-6</SP>(K<SP>-1</SP>) to <20×10<SP>-6</SP>(K<SP>-1</SP>) and Young's modulus is≥10 GPa to <70 GPa. Further, and the lance is formed so as to satisfy the following inequalities 1.2≤R1/R3≤3 (1), R3≤R2<0.6×(R1+R3) (2), wherein, R1 is the outer diameter (mm) of the lance, R2 is the outer diameter (mm) of a portion showing the maximum outer diameter of the core metal containing the anchors and R3 is the outer diameter (mm) of a pipe used for core metal.
