PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a long metallic bellows pipe, which method can reduce a total cost by continuously forming a long endless bellows pipe in particular, and further to provide the same long metallic bellows pipe. SOLUTION: A cylindrical raw pipe 101 is formed by butt-welding a metallic belt shape plate 100 at its both end portions opposed to each other. When a large number of bellows 2, 2 are formed on the outer periphery of the raw pipe 101, the bellows 2 are formed one by one. Further, the long metallic bellows pipe 1 is formed by continuously forming the bellows 2. After the bellows pipe 1 having a required length has been produced, the bellows pipe 1 is cut off, and then a joint 3 is provided on the end portions of the bellows pipe 1 so as to be used as a piping member. The bellows pipe 1 can be manufactured as a corrugated stainless steel pipe formed so as to have a thickness of 0.6 to 1.5 mm and an outside diameter of 10 to 65 mm. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
