Fastening members described include a variety of inve ntive features, including structures associated with the head portion, trans ition portion, and tail portion. Sliders include friction reducing structure s and locking features. Stop blocks provide bottom stops for various article s, and serve to anchor a fastening member. Top stops provide a containment s tructure for limiting slider travel. A variety of methods are also described .
