PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device 1, wherein the occurrence of wrinkles and scratches on a heating member 72 due to the thermal expansion of a pressure receiving member 74 is prevented, and poor fixation and poor conveyance are not caused, and also, a time required to start the fixing device 1 is shortened. SOLUTION: The fixing device 1 includes: a sleeve-like rotatable heating member 72; a heat source 77 disposed in the heating member 72; a pressure member 73 which is brought in press contact with the heating member 72 so as to form a nip through which a sheet S passes, and rotationally driven; the pressure receiving member 74 disposed in contact with the heating member 72 at the inside of the heating member 72 so as to receive the pressure of the pressure member 73; and a fixing member 75 for fixing the position of the pressure receiving member 74. The pressure receiving member 74 includes a side wall part 74b disposed along the axial direction of the heating member 72, and also, the member 74 is elastically deformed to be fixed to the fixing member 75. The axial surface of the side wall part 74b comes in contact with the fixing member 75, then, the elastic force of the side wall part 74b is received by the fixing member 75.
