PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrict the lowering of productivity of a sheet handling device having a sheet handling tool, which causes sheet chips, by improving a sheet chip housing device. SOLUTION: This sheet handling device comprises the sheet handling tool 1 which causes scraps of sheet chips when handling sheets and the sheet chip housing device 2 capable of housing the sheet chips caused by the sheet handling tool 1. The sheet chip housing device 2 comprises a chip receiver 3 provided freely to move between a set position where the chip receiver 3 can house the sheet chips and a non-set position where the chip receiver 3 can thrown away the sheet chips housed in the set position, and an auxiliary chip receiver 4 temporarily arranged in an auxiliary set position where the auxiliary chip receiver 4 can house the sheet chips in place of the chip receiver 3 in the state that the chip receiver 3 is moved from the set position and possible to be retreated from the auxiliary set position in the state that the chip receiver 3 is arranged in the set position.
