PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shift fork capable of preventing a sliding member provided on a fore end of the shift fork to be inserted in outer circumferential grooves of a sleeve from being broken by an excessive load. SOLUTION: A sliding member 16 formed of a synthetic resin and slidably abutted on a sleeve inner surface 21b, and a projection part 17 formed of a cast iron and integrated with a shift fork 15 at the position on a base end side from the sliding member 16 are provided on a side face of a fore end 15b of a fork part 15a of the shift fork 15. Even when an excessive force is applied by the mistaken operation during the transmission of a shift lever 13, the shift fork 15 is deflected so that a base end side of the fork part 15a is pressed against an inner surface 21b side of an outer circumferential groove 21a, a body 16a of the sliding member 16 is unevenly abutted on the inner surface 21b of the outer circumferential groove 21a, and a local load is applied thereto, the projection part 17 is abutted on the inner surface 21b of the outer circumferential groove 21a, and the sliding member 16 receives the load in a sharing manner, and breakage of the sliding member 16 can be prevented thereby.
