PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an active energy ray hardenable rust preventive having excellent dispersion stability, capable of providing a hardened film having excellent rust preventability by the irradiation of active energy rays such as ultraviolet rays and electron beams, and further excellent in working environments and global environment maintenance since it does not comprise volatile organic solvents. SOLUTION: Disclosed is an active energy ray hardenable rust preventive composed of a compound comprising nitrogen and an unsaturated double bond, and polyanilin. Also disclosed is an active energy ray hardenable rust preventive obtained by dissolving an emeraldin base of polyanilin into a compound comprising nitrogen and an unsaturated double bond. Also disclosed is an active energy ray hardenable rust preventive obtained by adding a doping agent thereto, so as to be an emeraldin salt of polyanilin. Also disclosed is an active energy ray hardenable rust preventive in which the doping agent is a compound comprising a sulfonic acid group.
