The method involves detecting a driver by a person detection device (4) using detection of an identification unit, and conveying driver detection information to control devices (5a-5e) by the person detection device. Data records are accessed by the control devices based on the conveyed information, where the data records have an influence on a control process of the control devices. The identification unit is carried along by the driver.
