<p>A disc brake device which can suppress crank noise surely even during back braking as well as during drive braking of a vehicle.When the backing metal (6A) of a brake pad (6) moves toward the first torque receiving portion (3C) side of a torque member (3) as drive brake of a vehicle is operated, the tip portion of a spring piece (9A) engages with one bevel of an engaging protrusion (6E) to press the backing metal (6A) resiliently toward the first torque receiving portion (3C) side thus holding the disc brake device in a first abutting state. When the backing metal (6A) moves toward the second torque receiving portion (3D) side of the torque member (3) as back brake of a vehicle is operated, the tip portion of the spring piece (9A) engages with the other bevel of the engaging protrusion (6E) to press the backing metal (6A) resiliently toward the second torque receiving portion (3D) side thus holding by switching the disc brake device in a second abutting state. As a result, crank noise can be suppressed surely even during back braking as well as during drive braking of a vehicle.</p>
