A/D CONVERTER AND RANDOM NUMBER GENERATION CIRCUIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an A/D converter capable of appropriately obtaining a genuine random number.

SOLUTION: The A/D converter 10 is configured with a plurality of 1-block circuits 13-1 to 13-n, wherein the 1-block circuits 13-1 to 13-n is composed of: basic circuits 11-1 to 11-n for outputting a signal of 1 or 0 by performing switching according to an input signal; and latch circuits 12-1 to 12-n for latching the output signal of the basic circuit 11-1 to 11-n. The A/D converter 10 further includes: a 1-bit generation circuit 14 for generating a 1-bit output signal based on the output signals of the plurality of 1-block circuits 13-1 to 13-n; and an analog chaos circuit 21 for providing each basic circuit 11-1 to 11-n with a voltage for specifying the switching in the plurality of basic circuits 11-1 to 11-n.
