PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an out-of-range determination method for a communication terminal with which it can be accurately determined whether the communication terminal is located out of the range or not, radio communication system switching method and communication terminal. SOLUTION: On the basis of a transmission level for transmission from a communication terminal to a base station, it is determined whether the communication terminal is located out of the range.
