PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communications device and an emergency call unit which can readily save cost and check telephone numbers. SOLUTION: An indoor base unit 3 connected to a telephone line, comprises a contact telephone number data file 36A in which telephone numbers of contact terminals are stored, that are the contact information at emergency, are stored; an operating section 33, provided with number keys 33A for inputting a telephone number; a blinking section 33D for blinking the number keys 33A; an operating section 33 for inputting a checking instruction for checking inputted telephone number; and a check program 36B for directing a CPU 34, to control the blinking section 33D for sequentially blinking the number keys 33A, corresponding to the telephone number inputted by the operating section 33, when the checking instruction is inputted.
