PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for controlling operation processing in a nonvolatile memory which first performs operation processing on an urgent request after interrupting operation processing on a normal request when the operation processing on the urgent request occurs when performing the operation processing on the normal request, and its method. SOLUTION: The apparatus for controlling operation processing in a nonvolatile memory includes an emergency request-management unit to set values of a pre-empt flag and a status-backup flag when an operation based on an urgent request occurs, a status-checking unit to check the set values of the set pre-empt flag and the set status-backup flag, and an operation-processing unit to process the operation based on the urgent request that occurs and an operation based on a normal request according to the checked set values.
