PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device in which simplicity is improved and high contrast display is realized. SOLUTION: The display device 1 integrally comprises a printing section (printing head 141) which prints a printed image 170 on the basis of image information 100 for printing; continuous roll paper 50 as a display object, where the printed image 170 is printed by the printing head 141; a moving mechanism section 30 which performs the movement of the continuous roll paper 50; a holding mechanism section which assures a prescribed display region, with respect to the continuous roll paper 50 with the printed image 170 printed thereon; and a projection section (projection lens 263) which projects a projected image 270 based on image information 200 for projection.
