PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical transceiver module suitable for reduction of a manufacturing cost and improvement of signal quality, and to provide its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: The optical transceiver module 1 includes VCSEL 13 for emitting light, a thermoplastic resin layer 22 provided on VCSEL 13 transmitting the light, a copper foil 21 provided in the thermoplastic resin layer 22 and having an opening 21a passing the light, a recess 22a existing on a face of the opposite side of VCSEL 13 of the thermoplastic resin layer 22, and a lens 11 provided in the recess 22a.
