PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording device capable of performing the manual paper feed with excellent operability without increasing the number of components for the manual paper feed and conveyance and generating any wrinkle in a recording paper. SOLUTION: The recording device comprises a body paper feed unit for feeding recording papers stacked in a body cassette 1, and a manual paper feed unit for manually feeding the recording papers, and further comprises a control means 17 for reversing a conveying means 5 in a manual paper feed mode while a discharge port 9 of the recording papers conveyed by a conveying means 5 from the body paper feed unit is the manual paper feed unit.
