PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chip conveyor which is formed between a stepped part of a side plate and a rear end surface of the side plate at a preceding side corresponding to the stepped part, reduces the volume of a space for allowing the bending of longitudinal side plate, can reduce circling resistance by reducing the chip entering the gap of the sliding surface of an overlap part of the side plate, and can improve durability of the side plate. SOLUTION: The stepped part 39b forming a space V for allowing the bending of the longitudinal side plate 39 is provided to the side plate 39 which is endlessly connected by a connecting shaft 38 in a bendable manner in the vertical direction. The stepped part 39b is bent in a refracted arc shape viewed from the axial direction of the connecting shaft 38, an inclination angleαof a linear inclined part 39h with respect to a vertical line Y is set 20°, and an inclination angleβwith respect to the vertical line Y of the rear end surface 39k is set 0°.
