PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bending portion of an endoscope which has an end portion of a blade that is easily treated and prevents the end portion of the blade from being frayed, and an endoscope. SOLUTION: The endoscope is equipped with an insertion portion inserted into a cavity while being deformed along the shape of the inside of the cavity and an operational portion provided at the proximal end portion of the insertion portion. The blade 44 which is knitted into a cylindrical shape and is disposed on the periphery of a bending tube and an outer cover disposed outside the blade are provided on at least a part of the insertion portion. Then, the endoscope is equipped with a cap 60a having a cylindrical part 62 which is shorter than the blade and is inserted into the inside of at least one end of the blade and a flange part 64a which is extended from one end of the cylindrical part and holds the end part of the blade between the peripheral surface of the cylindrical part and the flange part.
