<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing for an idler pulley capable of preventing grease deterioration at a high temperature, and capable of preventing a low temperature noise by securing lubricity at a low temperature, and having the long service life at a low cost. <P>SOLUTION: In the bearing 10 for the idler pulley capable of being attached to a pulley member 2 imparting desired tension to a belt wound around an outer peripheral surface, a pocket part 16 of a crowned cage 14 is constituted by a spherical surface parts 16a and 16c and a cylindrical surface part 16b. An elastic material 22 constituting a seal member 15 is equipped with a main lip part 23 axially brought into slide contact with an inner wall surface 12c of a seal groove 12b formed on both end outer peripheral surfaces of an inner ring 12 with the interference, and two sub lips 24 and 25 provided on a radial outer part of the main lip 23 in such a manner of being adjacent to the inner wall surface 12c of the seal groove 12b and an outer peripheral surface 12d of the inner ring 12 so as to form a labyrinth seal. Urea synthetic oil-based grease of which base oil has kinematic viscosity of 30-60 mm<SP>2</SP>/sec. at a temperature of 40°C is sealed in a space where a ball 13 is arranged. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
