<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller for electric four-wheel drive (4WD) vehicle for decreasing a possibility that an electronic component of an inverter is damaged because a generator generates power having a voltage value higher than a prescribed value and for enhancing the reliability of the inverter. <P>SOLUTION: The controller is provided with an engine 1, a generator 13 driven by the engine 1, a motor 6 to be rotated by directly supplied AC-converted power, a system voltage detection unit 10 detecting a system voltage generated from the generator 13 and applied to an inverter 9, a motor 4WD controller 5 stopping the generator 13 when the voltage value higher than the prescribed value is detected, and a surge absorbing element 11 consuming power applying the voltage to the inverter 9 after the stop of the generator 13. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
