摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide technology capable of more precisely determining quantity of particulate matter accumulated on a particulate filter in an exhaust emission control device for an internal combustion engine. <P>SOLUTION: This exhaust emission control device is provided with an accumulation quantity estimation means S114 estimating quantity of particulate matter accumulated on the particulate filter by assuming that increase rate of accumulation quantity of particulate matter after reduction of increase rate of differential pressure gets higher as increase rate of accumulation quantity of particulate matter before reduction of increase rate of differential pressure gets higher when increase rate of differential pressure between before and after a filter reduces although quantity of particulate matter accumulated on the particulate filter increases further after a process that differential pressure between before and after filter increases as quantity of particulate matter accumulated on the particulate filter increases. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p>
