PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To support a vehicle driver in driving operation in an easy-to-understand way and at low cost.

SOLUTION: In a driving support device 100, an image processing part 103 sets a cutout area in photographic image data taken by a camera 121 and extracts cutout image data. A control part 107 generates information indicating risk behind one's own vehicle based on the position and speed of another vehicle measured by a distance measuring instrument. The image processing part 103 outputs the cutout image data and the information indicating the risk to a monitor 123. When a receiving part 105 receives a notice that the course of the own vehicle will be changed, the image processing part 103 moves the cutout area in a direction in which the course of the own vehicle will be changed.
