PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bridge-type crane facilitating slight movement of a hoisted load in the fore-and-aft direction. SOLUTION: In this bridge crane, a main trolley 10 transversely travels on a girder 1. Hoist gears 14F and 14R, and guide sheave moving mechanisms 20F and 20R are provided on the trolley carriage 11 of the main trolley 10. The hoist gears 14F and 14R are composed of winches 15, ropes R delivered from or rewound around the winches 15, and hooks 60 wound with the ropes R. The guide sheave moving mechanisms 20F and 20R are provided with overhung bases 21 for advancing and retreating the sheave carriages 30 to which guide sheaves 41-44 and 51-54 wound with the halfway parts of the ropes R are attached in the fore-and-aft direction of the girder 1, and an advancing and retreating means 35 therefor.
