PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for curved surface transfer which neatly transfer a printing pattern onto an article having a curved surface, by bringing transfer paper into close and neat contact with the article having the curved surface without wrinkles or unevenness. SOLUTION: A sealing chamber is installed so that a lower support frame having a hollow on the upper side at the center is made to be the ceiling side, while a setting stage which moves upward and downward is installed in the chamber, and the airtight sealing chamber is formed by covering the ceiling side with an upper support frame and an elastic rubber sheet. The sealing chamber is provided with a decompressing means for decompression thereof. An article to be printed is set on the setting stage, while the lid-like upper support frame to be laid on the lower support frame is installed in a ceiling part, and the article is held by making the upper support frame support the elastic rubber sheet and also by laying it on the lower support frame. The elastic rubber sheet is made to support a transfer sheet wherefrom printing ink of a desired pattern is separated by heating and the elastic rubber sheet is brought into close contact the article by the decompression of the sealing chamber and the upward movement of the article by pressing, in these method and apparatus for curved surface transfer.
