The tea strainer has a pot-like filter container made of rust-less stainless steel. A lower segment, a strainer wall and a strainer base have minimum small perforations, and a middle segment contains smaller number of large passages (1, 2). The segments are separated from each other by a complete ring. A handle-shaped frame (4) is attached under opposite recesses (6a), which lie at an upper strainer edge. The frame is pressed downwards with a pot cover during closing a strainer pot, and goes back to its original initial position during removing the pot cover.
