An OsMSRPK1(Oryza sativa multiple signaling response protein kinase 1) gene isolated from the rice(Oryza sativa L.) is provided to promote the development or differentiation of a young stage plant, so that the development of rice variety is enhanced. An OsMSRPK1 gene isolated from the rice(Oryza sativa L.) promotes the development or differentiation of a young stage plant and has the nucleotide sequence of SEQ ID NO:1. An OsMSRPK1 protein encoded by the OsMSRPK1 gene has the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:2, and is expressed immediately before ear prominence, increasingly expressed before the flowering time, decreasingly expressed in the full flowering and not expressed in seed maturation. The development or differentiation of a young stage plant is promoted by overexpression of the OsMSRPK1 gene.
