<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To mass-produce a vehicle-mountable battery module by attaining reduction in cost, size and weight while enhancing pressure resistance, cooling performance, and vibration resistance and facilitating the assembling. <P>SOLUTION: A spacer 5 has a longitudinal sectional shape having a curved first portion 50 and a second portion 51 longitudinally opposed to the first portion 50, and part of the spacer 5 is mounted on a cell 3 directly or through a pressure plate 6. The spacer 5 includes one first pressure receiving part 52 at one thickness-directional end and two second pressure receiving parts 54 and 55 longitudinally separated through a clearance 53 at the other end. A plurality of spacers 5 is separately and independently disposed at intervals in the surface direction. When the spacers 5 are pressurized by the pressure plate 6 and elastically deformed, the resulting individual elastic forces are independently applied to the cell 3, and these individual elastic forces are collected, whereby a pressing force is applied to the cell 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
