PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stator for a rotary electric machine having a coil structure which is higher in density and in heat dissipation function. SOLUTION: In the stator for the rotary electric machine, a coil 12 is wound around a tooth portion 15 of a split core 11 through an overlayer 13. The coil 12 includes a wire rod 12a of a hexagonal or rectangular type in cross section, and a coil insulating film 12b which covers the wire rod 12a. The coil insulating film 12b is constituted by resin including an inorganic insulating filler such as BN, and has the coil structure which is higher in heat dissipation function. The overlayer 13 is also constituted by the resin including the filler, and the split core 11 which is higher in heat dissipation function is formed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
