PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broadcast receiver automatically and efficiently acquiring channel setting information and automatically and efficiently configuring channel setting, at a low cost. SOLUTION: A location information reception circuit 7 and a mobile phone antenna 8 for reception as a location information recognition means and specify their location by a mobile communication terminal radio wave, for example, a radio wave for mobile phone. A control circuit 9 acquires location information and then reads a channel list from a CH list memory circuit 10 and determines whether channel setting information of a region corresponding to the location information is included in the channel list or not. When it is included, a channel setting information reading process is performed. Thus channel setting information corresponding to the location information is read out of the channel list.
