<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enabling deceleration in two stages by a planetary gear mechanism capable of avoiding increase of parts-count and enlargement, in the electric steering lock device provided with the planetary gear mechanism between a rotation member and an electric motor which operates to slide a locking member. <P>SOLUTION: The planetary gear mechanism 34 comprises a first sun gear 40 coupled to the electric motor 33 in a relatively non-rotatable manner; a ring gear 43 fixed to a casing 16 and having inner teeth 42; first planetary gears 41 carried on a first carrier 44 and meshed with the first sun gear 40 and the inner teeth 42; a second sun gear 45 coupled to the first carrier 44 in a relatively non-rotatable manner; and second planetary gears 46 which is carried on a second carrier 47 connected to the rotation member 32 in a relatively non-rotatable manner and which is meshed with the second sun gear 45 and the inner teeth 42. On a shaft 53 has opposite ends coaxially coupled to the first sun gear 41 and the rotation member 32 respectively in a relatively rotatable manner, the first carrier 44 and the second sun gear 45 are carried in the relatively non-rotatable manner. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
