PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for a rear wheel drive vehicle capable of preventing the vehicle from being pushed out forward by avoiding the locking tendency of front wheels and the slip of rear wheels when the vehicle is stopped especially on a lowμsurface. SOLUTION: The control device for the rear wheel drive vehicle 1 using rear wheels RL, RR as drive wheels and front wheels FL, FR as driven wheels is constituted to reduce an output of a power source driving the rear wheels RL, RR when it is determined that a brake is operated and a rotation speed difference between rotation speeds of the rear wheels RL, RR and rotation speeds of the front wheels is detected.
