PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor light emitting element which can accurately detect a cleavage position. SOLUTION: A second light emitting element 30 includes stripe-shaped opposing electrodes 42, 44 which are arranged on an insulating layer 35 overlapped with a first light emitting element 20 and formed on a second substrate 31 surface opposed to a first substrate 21 and are opposed to respective p-side electrodes 26A, 26B of the first light emitting element 20 and electrically connected thereto; connection pads 46, 48 electrically connected to the respective opposing electrodes 42, 44; a connection pad 39 electrically connected with a p-side electrode 36; and marks 49A, 49B whose one ends are arranged in cleavage planes S3, S4.
