PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a pile woven fabric enabling tuck in even when changing terry modes during operation and having a tuck-in selvedge with good appearance in a pile loom. SOLUTION: An air-type tuck-in apparatus of pile loom is equipped with a terry motion member for changing a relative position between a cloth-fell position and a beating-up position, an actuator for the terry motion member, an air-type tuck-in device, a tuck-in controlling device, a setting device in which a plurality of terry modes are set as control data and a terry motion controlling device that controls the actuator. The setting device records a plurality of tuck-in modes including, as information, the number of picks constituting one unit of pile formation cycle and particular picks at which tuck-in operations are performed, in which least one of the number of picks and the particular picks is different. Further, the setting device sets, as control data, the tuck-in modes for the respective terry modes. The tuck-in controlling device performs a controlling operation on the basis of the tuck-in mode that is changed during the operation of the loom. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
