PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiation detector for enabling a sensitive and stable measurement of a radiation to be measured at low energy. SOLUTION: The radiation detector includes: a measurement scintillator 1; a photo multiplier 2; a light guide 3; a preamplifier 4; and a light pulser 5 as a light source for calibrating the detector. The light pulser 5 includes: an index radiation source 51; an index scintillator 52 for converting an index radiation radiated from the index radiation source 51 into a light; and an optical filter 55 for adjusting the quantity of the light directed from the index scintillator 52 to the photo multiplier 2.
