An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) is provided to install 1/2 wavelength plate between a pair of polarizing layers and to install a phase shift film between the first and second polarizing plates. The ratio of an area(131) slanted toward the upper direction and an area(132) slanted toward the lower direction is set by 1:3. The aperture ratio is set to the maximum. ITO(Indium Tin Oxide) electrodes with the teeth of comb are set toward the right upper direction at the upper area and also set toward the left lower direction at the lower area. The ratio of the upper area is 30% from the entire. A pixel area(103) is divided into four areas(141-144). The ITO electrodes with the teeth of comb are set toward the upper direction at the upper area and also set toward the lower direction at the lower area. As an extension manner of the ITO electrodes, an arm thereof is expanded upwardly at the upper portion of the pixel. At the lower portion of the pixel, both arms are spread toward left and right sides.
