<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To overcome such a problem that due to improvement in civil engineering works and building construction technology, a long tunnel and a huge bridge or the like are achieved and entering of a vehicle with a headlight for right-hand traffic into an area of left-hand traffic becomes easy, and dazzling to oncoming vehicles occurs. <P>SOLUTION: A projector type headlight 1 has an elliptic system reflection surface. A light source 3 is arranged at a first focus of the elliptic system reflection surface and a shade for left-hand traffic is arranged at the front of a second focus, and a double-sided mirror having the position of the second focus at the rear end is installed rotatably coinciding with the axis of the elliptic system reflection surface at a position which is at the front of the shade 4 and is shielded of the light from the light source.
