PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a locking mechanism of a connector capable of releasing locking easily with a small force by a pressing operation from the above and capable of establishing a large retaining force by increasing stability and sureness of locking. SOLUTION: This is the locking mechanism of connectors in which a cantilever type lock arm 13 of which free end 13b is extended from a fixed end 13a of the front part of itself to the rear in engagement direction of the connectors is installed at a first connector 10 out of two connectors 10, 30 and an engagement projection 34 which is engaged with an engagement hole 14 provided on the lock arm by bending of the lock arm is installed at the second connector 30. A lock releasing lever 20 which is supported in free rocking in see-saw form by a support column 21 arranged in the middle of the rear end part 20b being a force point and the front end part 20a being an action point and displaces the free end of the lock arm in lock releasing direction by the front end part with a pressing force applied at the rear end part is installed at the further rear part of the lock arm.
